Creamed Kale with Charred Broccoli and Slivered Almonds

Ingredients:
2 pounds kale, centre stalks removed - Steam for 5 minutes
4 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 cup heavy cream
1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg
Salt and ground pepper
Vegetable Oil
Broccoli - cut into florets, steamed for 12 minutes

Method:
1. Cut kale into 1/2-inch ribbons. In a large sauté pan over medium heat, melt the butter and add the kale, cream and nutmeg. Reduce the heat to low and cook for 5 minutes, or until the cream has reduced and thickened.
2. In the meantime, place a medium size skillet over medium heat. Add 2 tsp of vegetable oil. Add steamed broccoli and sear for 2 minutes stirring every 30 seconds. Season with salt and remove from heat. Add to kale mixture and incorporate.
3. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve right away.
